In Memory of Kay Fryman
May 14, 1957 – October 20, 2007
Kay Fryman was a faithful and dedicated Deputy and office staff member of the Bourbon County Sheriff’s Office. She faithfully served the citizens of Bourbon County for 22 years, from 1985 – 2007.
In August 2006, she was given the gift of life by her cousin and also a fellow co-worker, Mavis Fryman, with a successful Kidney transplant. Kay was back to work in the office three weeks after her transplant. That was just like Kay, she loved coming to work. In August 2007, one day before her one year transplant anniversary, she was told she had cancer. She did not quit working, she kept working as she always did. Even through the time of her treatments, she still wanted to come to work. On October 20, 2007, Kay lost her courageous battle with cancer and went home to be with her Lord and Savior.
She will always be loved and missed. We will always keep her in our hearts! Kay is survived by her husband Mike and daughter Micki.
